The proceeds from the 2013 Strawberry Festival will directly support the Coatesville Youth Initiative. We are making a difference in this community and so are you, with your support of the Strawberry Festival. Thank you. The Coatesville Youth Initiative fosters collaboration among community residents, youth, area businesses, nonprofit and county agencies, youth-serving organizations, the Coatesville Area School District and other educational entities to reduce substance abuse, problem behaviors and related risk factors among youth and young adults, and enhance their knowledge and skills to build strong character so they may reach their fullest potential. Our goal is to raise significant funds that will be used to encourage and support young people to grow, learn and change by... Developing job skills Building life skills Engaging in academic interests Participating in leadership training Preventing alcohol and drug use and abuse And, fostering volunteerism and promoting engagement throughout the Coatesville community.
